Saar. 24. Travels. Writes. Does that make her a travel-writer? Not just yet. Loves to bring all her beloved ones, earthly and heavenly creatures, along on her trip. Will try to do so by dropping notes, posting pictures, videos, writing stories. A.k.a.: sharing her experiences. Don't feel like reading from a screen? Just wait for the book to get published! (*Wishful thinking*)
Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
Every time I heard Skylar Grey sing “I’m coming home, coming home, tell the world I’m coming home”, all I could think was: I’m not ready yet. I don’t want to leave this continent, the spots that have become so familiar, that are so welcoming. Places that fit me like a glove (too hot) playsuit (;) )
(Could not help sharing some Tupac loving)
Am I ready to say farewell to Bangkok/Thailand, now? I’m not sure. Every time I left Bangkok I made sure I had a ticket back in to the country in the following months, or the prospect of returning overland. I didn’t do ‘goodbye’, just ‘see you soon’. (It will be a ‘see you laaaater’ for now, but I’m sure I/we will be back in the future - and tickets can always be booked if hearts start aching and crying for some Thainess).

Stuff’s about to change. A little big time. It’s exciting and I’m embracing all of it, all of it’s sensations. Change is the only constant in life, and I don’t mind mixing things up to discover. More. About this world, myself, the things around and within us. This is yet another opportunity to grow and develop myself. Situations, and people (<3), don’t just come your way without a reason.
So I see no reason not to act upon my heart and explore ‘what else is out there’.
I’m flying home in the night of the 11th on the 12th of January, for a quick visit of two weeks (!!!), and will arrive in the early morning at Schiphol Airport. I will struggle with climate-shock and want to wrap up in a zillion blankets, but am sure that my sweet mum and Petra-dear will be there to hug me warm.
My visa for Canada is not sorted (I hope to get a Working Holiday Visa), since it’s not possible to apply for it yet. I decided not to stress over it, and booked a one-way ticket to New York this week(!!!!) Meet-up time with some traveling friends, Bikram yoga in ‘the city that never sleeps’, and a must-visit to the theatre…On my list! I will take a bus to Canada; I want to be with my love on his birthday (February second), whether it’s on a tourist or working visa. (I foresee another trip across the border in the near future, to ‘activate’ my WHV. Tough life it is, but somebody’s got to live it. (Ha))

Furthermore I’ve been sneezing coughing sniffing like crazy over the last couple of days. It’s been ‘cold’ in Bangkok, and my body clearly does not like going from hot to cold to hot to cold. So hello, teary eyes and heavy head. Hello painful body and aching muscles.
I’ve used my ‘down-time’ wisely, befriending WordPress once again (the joy!). I am so excited about the project Petra and I are kicking off. Thrilled. Pumped. Inspired. I’m so happy we claimed our domain! It’s (finally!) time to work in to the later hours (what’s new here, work-a-holic!) on design and content. Expect a burst of sparkles and inspiration coming to your home - Valentine’s day 2012!! (More updates on this will follow over the weeks, for sure).
If you’d like to meet up while I’m in Hollandia, contact me. I will be organizing a party-get together-sort of thingy, which you are more than welcome to attend (you’ll hear more about it asap, pinky promise!) but if you feel the need to get more private (;)), bring it on!
